Why do buyers love certain houses and why do those homes seem to call to them?  The minute we walk into a home, we know whether or not it has "charm."  There is a coziness that attracts us with cheerful hospitality.  The warm, inviting feeling of a charming room beckons us to sink into comfort and be content.  It can be simple beauty, the feeling of serenity, or harmony and order to the home.

Money can purchase beautiful furnishings and decorative accessories, but it cannot ensure that there is charm.  That is because charm seems to be a quality that cannot be bought or sold, but is instead channeled from a creative and loving spirit.   One can feel the warmth and love in certain homes, as well as the coldness and dreariness of others.  Beauty doesn't lie in the expenditure of much money, but in the artistic way the homeowner portrays the presence of love, whether through art work, family photos, flowers and candles, colors or simple expressions of happiness and contentment.

The warmth of our individual hearts reflected in our surroundings seems to be the enduring secret of injecting our homes with charm.  Be proud of your home, no matter how big or small.  Give it an abundance of love and individuality and it will love you back, overflowing with charm!
