With everyone cutting back these days and on tight budgets, it is wonderful to live in the "Four Corners" area and have a Florida annual pass to Disney.  Florida residents, who get a discount, can enjoy all of the holiday festivities without additional cost,  OR there are many Disney areas that cost nothing without a pass . . . and nowhere is there a display of holiday decorations as breathtaking as the Disney theme parks or resorts!

The Magic Kingdom initiated the new Cinderella's Castle holiday "wish" lights last year and they are simply spectacular!  The castle stage is live with Disney characters for several daily performances.  There is fun for all watching the "Once Upon A Christmastime" parade and the evening finale is  the "Wishes" fireworks, as magical as can be.  For a small extra fee, guests can enjoy "Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party" at set times throughout the holiday season.

EPCOT has the annual Candlelight processional at the American Garden Theatre with several performances each evening until after Christmas.  Every show has a guest narator of the Christmas story while the choir is made up of high school students and Disney cast members.  You will leave knowing the true meaning of Christmas and perhaps shedding a tear or two.

Another Disney holiday tradition at Hollywood Studios is the thousands of Osborne Christmas lights on display that adorn the back lot streets of the park.  Falling snow, hot chocolate and "dancing lights" to holiday music are just some of the fun, and this is one tremendous display of lights second to none!  Even Animal Kingdom comes "alive" with Mickey's Jingle Jungle Parade and holiday decor fitting to the "animals."

For those without an annual pass, Disney still has so much to offer:  Downtown Disney is beautifully decorated for their theme, "Festival of the Seasons" with some new restaurants and shops to enjoy; Disney's Boardwalk resorts are adorned with huge Christmas trees and displays or you can enjoy a boat ride to view the lights from a distance; you can tour Disney hotels and resorts like the Grand Floridian Resort and enjoy the fantastic gingerbread house and other unique holiday themes.

Christmas at Disney is wonderful for young and old alike.  It can cost little or nothing to be a part of the "magic" and will put you in the holiday spirit like nothing else can!
