Florida's first tourist attraction will reopen on March 28th as Cypress Gardens and Splash Island Water Park.  The reopening will be considered a "rebirth," with a focus on the topiary and botanical gardens, the water park, Splash Island, water ski shows and special events, which include a concert series and flower festivals.  The electric boat rides are also returning.  Admission prices will be lowered 40% from the 2008 prices, adding even more value.

Splash Island will be open seasonally during the warmer months, while the topiary and botanical gardens will be available year round.  One of the goals is the return of Cypress Gardens as the Water Ski Capital of the World, perhaps even holding ski tournaments there.  Plans include various seasonal festivals and the Southern Mansion.  Concert programming will soon resume with an announcement by summer.

Cypress Gardens has always been one of the most important attractions in the state of Florida.  Many travelers of all ages have visited and can relate their own stories of the gardens.  It is truly a one-of-a-kind fascinating place, surrounding you with incredible beauty!

With reduced admission prices, combination seasonal passes and no charge for parking (which will be returned to its original location), Cypress Gardens should be on every visitor's list as a "must see."
