We may not have the fall foliage of the northeast, but the fall season is a wonderful time of year here in Central Florida, too.  We begin to feel "cooler" temperatures (yes, the high 70's and low 80's are great) more breezes in the air, and a change in the color of flower beds, shrubs and some of the trees.

By October, activity begins to pick up in the parks and local attractions, as many offer special Halloween events:  Universal and Busch Gardens with their "very scarry" tours, and for those less adventuresome like me, Magic Kingdom's "Mickey's Not So Scarry Halloween Party." You may think this is "just for kids" but adults enjoy the special parade, fireworks and private events just as much.  Then there are the Octoberfests, football parties, and hayrides just like you can find up north.

An all time favorite of our fall season is EPCOT'S Food & Wine Festival which begins the end of September and lasts to the beginning of November.  As a Florida annual passholder, you can enjoy a variety of wine tasting and other events, sample ethnic menus from countries around the world, and relax to live concert music on stage at the American Gardens theatre nightly, featuring artists such as Starship, Kool & The Gang, Boyz II Men, and Sister Sledge, just to name a few!

This is an exciting time of year filled with sporting events, ghost & goblins, and spectacular entertainment, all leading up to the busy holiday season.  It's a great time of year to enjoy the outdoors and all that Orlando and Central Florida has to offer.
