My New Blog

Without exception, everyone is stuggling in some way during these tough economic times, especially during this holiday season.  Hardly anyone has been untouched by the negative happenings in our own country or the global market.  But whether we want to admit it or not, hope lives within all of us.  It's that little pilot light that keeps body and soul alive and going even in the darkest times.  It's the inner knowing that whatever we are going through, it will not last forever.

Even through the hard times, we can enjoy the evolutionary process because, as with the evolution of all things, we only get better and better from it.  When I think of these hard times, I'm reminded of years ago when I took classes in ceramics.  The greenware always started out dull and insignificant, but after the paint, glaze and then firing in the oven, the pieces shown bright and clear with vibrant colors, and you had something that was worthwhile and lasting.  It was the heat of the fire that caused the transformation.

We can't change today's economy or the pain it is causing.  But we can all concentrate on tomorrow's destination and look forward to the opportunities it will create.  Hope is in every heart beat and every breath and is just as necessary for our survival.  When we cease to hope, we cease to live.
