My New Blog

The year is drawing to a close and to many it has not been a good one.  Whether we are aware of it or not, we are balancing our personal books, tallying up the profits and losses.  If we are "in the red" as far as achieving goals, surrendering expectations, coming to terms with situations we cannot change, or acknowledging that we could have made changes but chose not to, we will certainly end up feeling blue.

Instead, it is exciting to advance  confidently in the direction of dreams and new expectations.  A new year with a brand new start lies ahead.  We can forget about all the negativity of 2009 and concentrate on a new adventure of the unknown.  There are many positive signs on the horizon, and things will get better.

I would like to end the year with quotes from Henry David Thoreau: 

 "However mean your life is, meet it and live it; do not shun it and call it hard names.  It looks poorest when you are richest.  The fault-finder will find faults even in paradise.  Love your life, poor as it is.  You may perhaps have some pleasant, thrilling, glorious hours, even in a poorhouse.

If one advances confidently in the direction of dreams, and endeavors to live the life imagined, then success will be met unexpected in common hours."

Let us all look ahead to new dreams and goals for 2010.
