Progress is steady at the Posner Park shopping complex, Phase One.  Now open for business is Michael's Craft Store, Dollar Tree and Subway.  Next week JC Penny has a grand opening; and soon to come by the end of summer is Pet Smart, Dick's Sporting Goods, Payless Shoes, and Ross Department Store.  "Coming Soon" signs include Marble Slab, Taco Maker, Mattress Firm, and a Sidewalk Cafe.  There are "rumors" of some restaurant franchises and other speculations, but I will wait until we have definite "facts."  By the holiday season of 2008, this plaza will be a welcome sight for Davenport area residents, eliminating the need to travel over 30 miles for shopping.  With the gas prices, this could not come at a better time!
