There are refreshing signs of stability in the local economic environment and the entrance to Posner Park in Davenport (off I-4, Exit 55) is one of them.  Recently, much work has been done to enhance  this  retail development, beginning with the beautiful brick entrance  and an abundance of large palm trees and landscaping placed along the entrance as well as throughout the commerical community.  This beautification project will help to attract more customers, even though it seems the retailers are already beginning to see a steady flow of traffic. 

Recently added to Posner is a Sushi Steakhouse and Taco Maker, which gives dining variety to the already many restaurant facilities there.  Even though some vendors have held on future plans due to the economy, this prime location will undoubtedly be an attraction for many in the near future, and is certain to continue in growth.

Another positive change is in the Deer Creek Crossing Plaza, just one mile south of Posner Park.  With the Italian Restaurant closing, another door opens to "The End Zone," a cozy family sports restaurant originating in Lakeland and well known as "King of the Wings."  They are open 7 days a week and have TV's throughout for that favorite sports game or just catching up on the news.  Their speciality is wings, but they offer a varied menu, including burgers, sandwiches, salads, soups, BBQ and seafood.  There is truly something for everyone.  With the fall season and all the sports that it brings, this will be a fun place for the whole family.

There are little signs here and there that we are slowly turning the corner and in time we can leave all that economic negativity behind us.  I look forward to more positive growth in the Davenport area!
