It was recently announced that the entrance to Ridgewood Lakes/Del Webb Orlando off of Hwy. 27 will finally get a long awaited and much needed traffic light. 

Plans are still in the works between the Florida Department of Transportation and the developer of Ridgewood Lakes, but approval has been given after much study and consideration.  The light will be placed at the intersection of U.S. Hwy. 27 and Ridgewood Lakes Boulevard.  It will provide not only safety, but the ease of entrance and exit for many residents. 

Currently, there are over 1,000 residences in the gated community of  Ridgewood Lakes, with 5 separate subdivisions surrounding the 5-star, 18-hole golf course.  Many acres of land are still undeveloped and will most likely double the size of the community in the near future.  Ridgewood Lakes has various subdivisions that can accomodate any age group or family:  The Pointe and The Forest are for families, with no age restrictions; The Gallery is a subdivision of 28 condos with their own community pool, adjacent to the golf course club house and driving range; and for those seniors who want a 55+ community, High Vista is a pristine active adult subdivision with its own clubhouse and wide variety of activities, while Del Webb Orlando is now developing and constructing homes in a separate senior subdivision.
